Introducing The World’s First OceanPlast® Bottle

OceanPlast is slowing climate change while cleaning up our oceans!

  • Made from 100% post-consumer recycled material (rPET)
  • For every bottle purchased, we collect the equivalent of up to 5 bottles from an oceanbound waterway, beach, or city
  • Turns plastic waste into a globally recognizable currency
  • Has the lowest eco-footprint of any beverage packaging based on carbon emissions, energy use, water use, and assumption of infinite recycling economy

Slowing Climate Change

OceanPlast® has the lowest eco-footprint of any beverage packaging.

OceanPlast® is made of 100% recycled PET. rPET uses significantly less energy and water to produce and is one of the lowest contributors to carbon emissions. It does not require the consumption of raw materials and is extremely durable and light, reducing carbon emissions related to transportation and the replacement of damaged goods.

When compared with virgin PET, OceanPlast®’s 100% post consumer recycled PET uses:

  • 79% less CO21
  • 85% less energy2
  • 99% less water3,4

Why It’s Important

Carbon emissions are directly linked to climate change; when the carbon dioxide concentration goes up in the atmosphere, temperatures rise. Reducing carbon emissions is of the utmost importance to slow climate change. Single use packaging alternatives including glass, PLA, aluminum, tetrapak and virgin PET are extremely energy and resource-intensive and statistically have higher greenhouse gas emissions than rPET.*

Promoting the Circular Economy

Humans have produced over 17 trillion pounds of plastic. Most of it is still here as waste.

By transforming plastic waste into a valuable resource and globally recognized currency, we can turn off the metaphorical tap that is currently filling our environment with potentially valuable material.

OceanPlast® is made of 100% post-consumer recycled plastic.

Why It's Important

Most CPG and beverage brands still use virgin PET in all of their packaging.  OceanPlast® makes use of the existing material we already have in our ecosystem, while setting a new industry standard. The more brands jump on board with 100% rPET, the higher its perceived value, encouraging a lucrative closed-loop plastics economy.

OceanPlast® turns plastic waste into a globally recognizable currency.

Why It's Important

By incentivizing communities in emerging economies in the Pacific Ocean - who are statistically most impacted by waste - with a consistent, above-market rate for plastic collection, we change the way the world thinks of and consumes plastics. At this rate, the 17 trillion pounds of existing plastic now has a $4 trillion value. Recycling ecosystems around the world have the potential to become business hubs that support regenerative communities.

Cleaning Up Our Oceans

Every bottle purchased helps to remove five plastic bottles from within 30 miles of an oceanbound waterway, beach, or city.

Why It’s Important

By collecting a bottle before it enters our precious oceans, we prevent further waste from polluting the ocean ecosystem.

Paying community members in emerging economies a consistent and livable wage to collect plastic directly puts money in the hands of the poor and impoverished. Through the use of blockchain, plastic is exchanged for tokens. These tokens can then be used to access healthcare, pay school tuition and can be exchanged for local currency.

Preventing ocean plastic could be humanity's richest opportunity!
